Leaves of Autumn

POEM

(For those of you in the Northern Hemisphere)

Falling gently to the ground,

Leaves of Autumn – orange, brown,

Yellow, crimson…Winter nears;

Summer’s sunshine disappears.

Tranquillity

POEM

The surface even of the lake

   reflects the clear, blue sky.

Gently rocks the rowing boat

   secured to the pier.

Upon the shore break tiny waves;

   above an eagle soars.
